Taylor grew up in rural Northeast Georgia and is a proud “Double Bear," having earned both his undergraduate and law school degrees from Mercer University. While at Mercer, Taylor served as president of Mercer Law's Federalist Society, and on the board of Mercer Law's Second Amendment Society. During law school, he spent a summer abroad in The Hague, Netherlands, where he extensively studied International Family Law, as well as the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Taylor earned experience as a law clerk for Judge Lindsay Burton of the Hall County Juvenile Court in Gainesville, Georgia. He has seen firsthand how stressful navigating the court system can be on families, especially those with young children, and strives to help make this difficult process as streamlined and straightforward as possible. Although Taylor has assisted clients in many areas of the law, including family law, criminal law, juvenile dependency and delinquency cases, and estate and probate matters, Taylor now focuses primarily on juvenile law. He currently serves as an Associate Special Assistant Attorney General representing the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services in Pickens and Gilmer Counties.
When not practicing law, Taylor is always on the lookout for a new golf course to play, city to explore, or restaurant to try with his wife, Amber.
